In 2017, it was the tenth year of development for Aotong Metal. Over the past nine years, Aotong Metal has been continuously growing, experiencing prosperity and fighting against the cold winter of steel. It has been difficult and rewarding all the way.
On February 25, 2008, the first office meeting was held to announce the establishment of Qinhuangdao Aotong Metal Materials Co., Ltd.
In July 2009, the office area was relocated to a new location, and in September, we obtained a temporary factory recognition certificate from China Classification Society, marking that our company has the ability to flatten ship coils. In November, the company became a designated flattening and processing unit for boiler vessel steel coils at Shougang Qiangang Company.
In September 2011, a 3MM thick thin plate was successfully flattened for the first time, breaking the technical requirement of equipment capacity of 5 to 25mm. In November, we established a cooperative relationship with Benxi Steel for Kaiping processing of container plates, and cooperated with Benxi Steel Longxing to achieve joint Kaiping processing qualifications in Qinhuangdao, Tianjin, and Taicang, jointly covering the main container plate markets.
In March 2012, we signed a cooperation agreement with Suzhou Tonggang Shunye to jointly carry out the sales business of container plates and coils.
In November 2014, we successfully achieved cooperation with Yan Steel to flatten 2.8mm export thin plates, breaking the technical requirement of 5-25mm flattening thickness for the flattening unit. In December, we successfully established cooperation with Chenggang and began to enter the spot market, bringing new development opportunities to the company.
In December 2015, we began exploring cooperation with Alcoa.
In 2016, to further strengthen cooperation with Alcoa, a suction cup crane was installed in February and a sawing and sawing machine was installed in April. In September, the equipment foundation was renovated to achieve sawing and cutting of 8 meter long boards.
