High strength steel plate

Q460 is a high-strength low alloy steel. The designation method of Q460: Its steel grade is prefixed with "Q", representing the yield point, i.e. yield strength, of the steel. The following numbers represent the yield point value of 460, which represents 460 megapascals. Megapascals are to the 6th power of 10, and pascals are the unit of pressure. Q460 is a type of steel that undergoes plastic deformation only when the stress strength reaches 460 MPa. This means that when the external force is released, the steel can only maintain the shape of the stress and cannot return to its original shape. This strength is greater than that of ordinary steel. The general quality level symbols are A, B, C, D, and E Q460, which appropriately increase the content of microalloying elements while ensuring low carbon equivalent. Good welding performance requires low carbon equivalent of steel, and the increase of microalloying elements not only increases the strength of the steel, but also increases its carbon equivalent. But fortunately, the increased carbon equivalent is very small, so it will not affect the welding performance of the steel.
