Dimensions and specifications of pressure vessel plates

The thickness range of pressure vessel plates is generally 5-20mm, which is divided into several thickness specifications. The recommended plate sizes and allowable deviations are listed in various national standards. Appearance quality (1) Shape of steel plate: such as sickle bending, flatness, rightness, etc. (2) Surface defects: The surface defects of steel plates mainly include cracks, scabs, flattened bubbles, impurities, protrusions, pores, and pressed iron oxide scales. For safety reasons, pressure vessel steel plates have strict requirements for surface and internal defects. Generally, the above defects are not allowed to exist. But it is allowed to use appropriate methods to remove, and the removed area should be flat. Its thickness shall not exceed the allowable difference in steel plate thickness. Interlayer is generally not allowed.
